He was getting all up in my business !! But it is still a GodStop !

Ok Patty, I'm sure you knew this was coming especially after our conversation today. Here goes: This evening my husband and I attended the 2nd session of training in the Billy Graham Christian Life and Witness course. I have to admit I knew I should go but was going out of obligation. Well God of course had a plan as He always does. The speaker was John Cas and he was great. However he was getting all up in my business !!
Well God was through him.
The lesson was The Victorious Christian Life. Guess what the first part was about.....
Adversity builds Character. That's right....the Holy Spirit was screaming conviction ! Let's just say the adversity that I have encountered as of late has produced a character....a character that had not been well behaved.
God really spoke to me tonight through this lesson and lets just say I will no longer allow this to make me bitter but I will be better because of it. God's Word says I should "Consider it pure joy, whenever I face trials"...James 1:2-4 and that I should "Give thanks in all circumstances...I Thes 5:16-18. So I say Thank You God for the adversities and help me use it as a stepping stone and not a stumbling block.

It's SNOWING !!!! In Murfreesboro that is

Well it's Saturday morning and I slept great last night. Today in the boro we are going to do some shopping, see a movie and eat at Dead Lobsta ! Yeah Baby ! Don't worry I will eat enough cheese biscuits for ALL of us.
Now back to the snow. It is not laying on the ground ...yet, but there is still hope ! LOL
Jiffener and I would not be so disappointed if we got snowed in, our families on the other hand .....well they would have to cope.

We're Heeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeee!!!!!!!

Me and Jen are at Patty's !!!! We got here quick. God parted the traffic just like He parted the Red Sea !! Speaking of seas ........Jennifer laughed so hard at me that she literally wet herself !!!! She said I could post this.
We had so much fun on the ride down. But the great thing is that the fun has just begun !!!

My daughter Holli went with her BF Tyler and his family to Middlesboro, KY this afternoon to see a movie. See you may be thinking why did she go there, well because it only costs $1.50 to get in to the movie over there ! They went to see "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything." It is a great movie and we actually got to see it as a sneak preview a few months back. (Thanks imommies)
I asked Holli how it went and she said she had fun. She gave me the "details" of which there were none to be ashamed of or upset with her about. I am so thankful to have such a Godly young lady. I am also thankful that she had a BF that is so respectful of her. But no worries, I ain't stupid and I know how 17 y/o boys think so they will ALWAYS either be accompained by his mom or me or one of the Dads. It also helps to know that Holli respects herself and would knock any boy out that tried to cross the line with her.
Well anyway Tyler told me I needed to update my blog so here is the update. Now I await his comment.

Happy Valentine's Day

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day today. I must say it was a good day. Not just because I got Godiva, yes Godiva chocolate but God has just taken some huge burdens off our shoulders. My beloved said he had a wonderful day as well.
This is the first Valentine's Day that our oldest Holli has had a sweetheart and I must say a pretty smart one at that. Not only did he get Holli a huge and I mean huge teddy bear and chocolate, he also got the whole family chocolate !! He is workin it for sure. He got me Hershey Pot of Gold, my 2 younger daughters each their own solid chocolate heart and my husband got a Giant size Snickers ! This young man is smart ! Well he is homeschooled after all.
All in all it has been a great day. Once again I say God is good all the time and all the time God is good !

Can God Speak Thru A TV Commercial ?

Can God speak thru TV commercials? God can do anything so I suppose He can use commercials if He so chooses. Well let me expound. I of course at the moment I am typing this am watching the Super Bowl. (Go Eli, make your Mama proud !!!)
Anyway back to the original post. After continuous battle with the enemy, I must say I am tired, actually sick and tired. But anyway……I digress….So as I was watching the commercials there was one that came on that cracked me up !! So much so that I had to call my BFF Patty to “get a witness” You may have seen it. It was an advertisement for a certain company that helps people find jobs. There was a young lady sitting at her desk not looking very happy and in another room was what appeared to be her “jerk” of a boss. He was sitting at his desk doing nothing and laughing. Back in the room with the young lady her heart jumped out of her chest. It landed on her keyboard and then proceeded to march into the bosses’ office and jumped up on his desk and held up a sign that said “I QUIT !! The heart then turned around and walked out of the building. The caption…..Follow your heart !!!!! A sign from God? hmmmmmmmmmmm
Then there was another commercial that had a certain triangular shaped chip. A guy took a small piece of the chip and placed it on a mousetrap. He then grabbed a chair and his big bag of chips and sat in front of the mouse hole and waited. While waiting he took a chip out of the bag and chomped down on it. All of a sudden a HUGE mouse busted out of the wall, tackled the man and proceeded to beat the living daylights out of him! My middle daughter profoundly stated “Hey that is like God and the devil. The devil sets a little trap and God busts out, jumps over satan’s trap and then throws the enemy down on the ground and beats him up !!” That was exactly what I needed to hear.
Ok God now I sit here waiting to see if I should “follow my heart” or is the enemy defeated. My heart is not happy and it wants to hit the bricks!
Before you all make your spiritual comments let me say ….I know the enemy is ultimately defeated. I know that if I follow my heart I have to first make sure it is in line with God’s will. So no worries I just needed to vent.
